Sordo allowed to score in Corsica

Dani Sordo will be allowed to score points on his Intercontinental Rally Challenge debut on the Tour de Corse this weekend. The Spanish WRC regular is driving an SMG Motorsport-run Mini S2000 on the Island event and was not initially a nominated point-scoring driver. However, as Mini has declared its intention to the IRC to register as an official manufacturer in the near future, the series promoter has granted the Spaniard and his co-driver Carlos del Barrio to allow the pair to score points in the drivers' and co-drivers' championships.
